im 19 years old and i started to smoke cigarettes a year ago. i used to smoke marlboro ultra lights and have recently decided to quit. however i got sick 4 days ago and it was horrible. ive never had a cold like this before. i felt like i couldnt breathe, kind of like i was having an asthma attack. my coughs are really loud and there is not a lot of phlegm. My cough is still harsh, it used to hurt my ribs, and ive been throwing up a lot too. Im still having a shortness of breath. does anyone know if it is possible for be to be developing asthma? My brother had it when he was younger....

you can develop asthma at any age but asthma is a recurring airway tightnes and it sounds more like u had bronchitis rather than asthma
