are they healthier then reg. cigarettestell me everything u know or better ways to quit smokingi don't smoke just someone i care aboutjust afraid if they mite get cancer

Some great ways to quit smoking is to focus on other things that you enjoy, things that don't make you stressed out though, such as writing a book, start running, and so forth. and then when you get the urge to smoke, do one of the things that you enjoy. try to keep your mind from thinking about them, and just keep yourself busy with other things!!

Seneca cigs are no more healthy that any other cigarette. They are still tobacco and still harm your lungs. I quit smoking 2 yrs ago cold turkey. I found that throwing them away all at once was the best way for me. The one thing that helped was to have a toothpick or a sucker in my mouth. I even tried sunflower seeds and lemon drops. After 2 weeks, I basically had it beat. I was moody for those 2 weeks but it will pass. I can taste food now and smell things and of course I can breathe alot better, so it was worth it! No cigarette is any healthier than any other cigarette.  Though tobacco companies like to promote their "light" cigarettes, research shows that individuals who smoke "light" cigarettes often inhale more deeply (to get the nicotine) and so they are more likely to develop SCLC (Small Cell Lung Cancer) than people who smoke regular "full flavor" cigarettes (who are more likely to develop NSCLC - Non Small Cell Lung Cancer).  This is significant because SCLC can be harder to treat, for reasons that unfortunately I can't remember right now.In any event, my suggestion would be to see your doctor and ask him/her for advice on what to do.  Most people fare well enough with a nicotine patch, gum, or whatever.  If you really don't feel like those options work for you, then you can always try Chintax.  Though be warned: a friend of mine tried that drug, and now she has IBS and is bipolar.  But she quit smoking...The only "advantage" to smoking Seneca cigarettes is that they are cheaper (presumably, you're buying them off of the internet?)  However, I've talked to people who have smoked Marlboro's and tried to switch to Senecas, and some of them have said they simply couldn't do it, because, as one woman put it, "I didn't like how they made my stomach feel".  On the other hand, there have been people who used to smoke namebrand stuff and switched over - it all depends on how much you can stomach that stuff.  But if (as it sounds like you're asking) you are asking whether or not it will eventually be able to quit smoking if you are smoking Senecas instead of whatever namebrand cigarette you're currently using, I would have to tell you that the answer is "no".  Reason?  They all contain nicotine; the ingredient that makes you "want" another cigarette.  If Seneca cigarettes didn't include this, no one would smoke them, because smokers would never get their "fix".

I think that's the most important thing to remember.  No matter what side affects you have from quitting, it will pass.  I admire those who can gut it out better than the rest of us.
