About the Taste! To the experienced e-smokers …What is your experience with taste? Is it from the e-liquid, the atomizer, or both?
I now own e-cigarettes purchased from 3 different suppliers. They are two “mini” e-cigarettes from the same supplier and two e-cigarettes, one each from two different suppliers (I will review them when I have more experience).
Although the suppliers of the e-cigarettes claim different manufacturing sources, (all from China, of course) the taste of their e-cigarettes/cartridges are the same. The menthol/mint flavor is way too sweet. Even the regular tobacco flavor cartridge has a sweet taste. The nicotine hit is fine, but both “flavors” are intolerably sweet to my senses.
Strangely, the two “mini” e-cigarettes from the same supplier, and using cartridges from that same source, each taste different! With one, the nicotine hit and taste is perfect. With the other, the taste has too much mint to it (but not the “sickly sweet” taste as in the larger e-cigarettes). However, both of these mini e-cigarettes are not reliable.
So, what is it with the taste?

I have noticed a HUGE difference depending on the brand of juice and even ecig and how they deliver the "hit".
Some have tasted like crap and others are really damn good.

I myself never really liked the taste of a regular tobacco cigarette. For me smoking an e cig is a wonderful experience. Because it comes with lots of flavors and i almost try various flavors. it feels so good to smoke a cigarette which doesn't kill and you can even enjoy the taste.

What abounding smokers turned vapers acquisition is that just like alteration a cast of cigarette, vaping is an acquired taste. Abounding even affirm that they now adopt the aftertaste of their electronic cigarette over any cast of tobacco cigarette.

To me, the flavor is all about the e-juice. The more VG that is in your e-juice, the smoother it feels in your throat and lungs, but often it is at the cost of some flavor. VG is often used as a sweetener in other products, so it tends to overpower some flavors. The best way to control the amount of flavor, in my opinion, is to mix your own e-juice. If you are not up to mixing your own, play around the VG/PG ratio of your favorite flavors and see if that makes a difference.
Other things can, to a lesser degree, effect your flavor. For example, my low resistance atomizer gives me a little more flavor than my regular atomizer. Cartomizers, to me, dilute the flavor as well, but I think I might be the only one that thinks that.
My advice, google e-juice and prepare to be glued to your computer for a couple hours. There are billions of flavors out there. Try a few here, try a few there, until you find the ones you really like.

I have found it is a combination of the two. some atomizers burn the liquid making a bad taste, some liquids just taste bad.. you need to find both in order to have a good taste
