Hello to all! I've recently gotten into the E Cig lifestyle & to be honest, I'm really quite impressed with the whole concept, except for the FDA/Gov trying to get their hand in the basket because they want to control, tax, and regulate the new trend. I've already signed the petition against this.
My first E-Cig is made by Pure Smoke & I'll still acquiring a feel for compared to the "analog" version,..... Gaga  Tongue . Hope all continues to go well, and I plan on converting solely over to these for convenience as I didn't start into it with wanting to quit but rather to be able to have an alternative to tobacco,...at least for now. Glad to be part of the forum group here!
Thanks & take care, I'll post more later!

Maybe this is normal or maybe it's just me, but each morning when I grab my E Cig I give it a slight prime or two to help clear it before I inhale the vape & OMG  Shocked it's too strong at first, so I try to take in little whisps until I can get used to it (these are only medium strength non menthol) like I said, maybe it's just me but what helps it to grab one of my normal smokes (tobacco) eechh when I have this problem, and finish it, then it seems like I'm over the hump & good to go. Has this occurred with anyone else or am I just rushing this too soon after waking?
Thanks!  Huh

Huh These things occasionally feel raspy on the throat, is this normal? I usually smoke Light cigs therefore I purchased light cartridges, if I stay off of them for a bit then go back to it they seem sorta harsh upon inhaling. I don't get it. Any help or insight would be appreciated!
Thanks

I have had very similar problems too with different types of juice,  this is what i think at least for me...

i have bought a few china based fluids which people say they cannot confirm but i bet its synthetic nicotine, with increased levels of flavor enhancers this will drive the throat hit up much higher.  to tell this out, i compared my china based fluids to some USA natural nicotine bought here in the states,  blended 60/40 vg/pg 36mg,  i cut this down with more VG mainly, and a little more pg.  so I can typically make my own blends between 10-16mg per 10ml bottle.

Since starting to blend my own juice and buying flavor extracts,  i have never had another problem with harsh throat hits,  everything is much more smooth and mellow, and that was what i was looking for in a e-cig.  I was never a Red smoker or a heavy smoker, less then 10 cigs a day.  So naturally I think there is a large group of people that only know a handful of places for juice, and some of the time those suppliers order from china, which i have found the flavors to be amazing, but it comes with that hard punch on my throat.

my advice,  google around for some usa suppliers for natural nicotine, and blend your own juice  ( just be very careful with the nicotine itself, you must use major caution, i only bought 36mg and will cut it down)

I haven't really got on with the liquids, I prefer the normal capsel ones, they just less hassle!

One thing I don't feel gets stressed enough is hydration. After you have slept all night without drinking anything, your throat and mouth are going to be extra dry. Try drinking some water first thing in the morning, as you puff on your ecig. And keep drinking water through out the rest of the day. It really helps a lot more than you think.
